Ets Glock 26 Magazine - I've been picking up these batches of Elite Tactical Systems Glock magazines for the past few months. My G19 and G17 have been training with all types of ammo, and I have good things to say about the ETS polymer magazines.
If you wanted an OEM Glock magazine option, there was Magpul with their Glock PMAG line. When they introduced these magazines it was a big deal as the non-OEM Glock magazines were not a reliable or successful item in terms of price/quality. I've put many rounds through my PMAG17 mags... I know they work well, but when a competitor like the ETS group comes out with another polymer mag we can't help but wonder... which one is better ?

In terms of price, both magazines are pretty close to ring; Magpuls G17 mags usually sell for around 15.15 and ETS magazine has 16.99 on their site. I didn't sweat much unless I bought in bulk. The dollar or so difference isn't a problem for me since I usually order a mag at a time when I order gun parts or accessories. I call it a self-imposed magazine tax. However, the differences between the two extend to more than price, as the defining feature of the ETS group Glock magazine is the clear body.

The round count for the PMAG17 is... less than 17 but more than 2 visible from the top of the belly. The number of rounds for the magazine ETS GLK is...exactly 10 rounds. Nifty.
Being able to control the number of rounds with a mag drop is a neat feature. Magpul opaque black magazines lose a point here because they have a witness hole for a full magazine. How many rounds are left in your Magpul magazine? If not full capacity, that's a guess. How many rounds are left in your ETS magazine? Check it instantly and get a clear visual indicator in seconds.
The GLK 9 22 round magazine is in the Goblin Smasher while the GLK-33 33 round sits patiently underneath.
The clear body is only the most noticeable feature, but the ETS Group magazines also use stock Glock-style floorplates. If you want to add a magazine extension from your stash, you'd better swap out the plate and theirs won't be a compatibility issue. Magpul G17 mags are a different story. Of course, Magpul uses a new ground plate that is not compatible with what has been produced for years. Obvious. Magpul recently started offering accessories for their proprietary floor plate, to include a rubber "L" plate body which is basically a rubber bumper for your magazine. With the ETS magazine, it is possible to use any number of floor tiles; right from the start you can change the stock plates for the aftermarket equipment as you like.
Elite Tactical Systems Ets Smoke Translucent Polymer Glock Pistol Mags ( Magazines): Best Glock Mags Ever?
Moving forward, the bearing plates on the ETS group magazine have a sharp line that allows the finger to grip a flush-fit magazine with a little extra finger traction. Tearing the magazine to remove a jam is simple and easy. Magpul's Glock magazines offer a similar graded line that allows the shooter to buy a little more than a stock Glock magazine. The question of which floor plate is best will come down to personal preference and I can't fault either one here as both are an improvement over the stock Glock OEM mag.
The ETS magazine ran without a number for hundreds of rounds. I estimate a total of 500-600 rounds went through the test magazines through the G19 and G17. You sent me several samples, a 31 round magazine, a 22 round magazine, a 17 round magazine, a 15 round G19 magazine and a 10 round G26 magazine. The magazine that saw the most action was the 22 round magazine as it had the ability to make the firing of my SSM equipped G17 feel like a barrel. I carried it loads of magazines and my favorite magazine is the G17 by far.
Mounting ETS magazines in kydex is a little different than OEM or Magpul magazines. The fit is a little tighter, or at least it feels like there is more contact between the kydex and the belly of the ETS magazine. They don't feel like they fit into the kydex, instead they slide in with what I assume is more contact with the kydex due to a slightly larger magazine body diameter. Test kydex were Bravo Concealment and Vigilance Tactical Glock mag holsters. In a generic molded plastic Glock mag holder, the ETS mags are the best of the three. I think this is a performance issue? Not really... unless you already have some kydex so tight on the OEM magazine that you have to pry it off with a multi-tool, then that could be a problem.
ETS magazines seem to have more friction before engaging the ridges of kydex magazine holders, but retention was not a problem.

These magazines are, as simply as I can say, good to go. Both ETS and Magpul are reliable magazines with different features. Both are outstanding products at a much cheaper price than OEM. So which one do you choose? I will be buying more ETS magazines as I like the mix of features for the price. They are clear which makes it easy to count rounds, are reliable, use stock Glock components and are still cheaper than stock Glock magazines. The bottom line is that ETS Group has produced another winner for the consumer as they deliver a solid product. My only recommendation to the ETS group is to send these with a bright orange, green or yellow follower for quick checks on an empty gun when the slide locks. Otherwise, it seems to be a solid product.

ETS magazines are made from advanced polymers that provide extreme impact resistance so they won't crack or break when dropped. With superior heat, cold and UV resistance, these magazines will not become brittle over time, even when exposed to harsh environments, chemicals or extreme cold. Its durable construction eliminates creep so the feeder lips and body do not stretch when stored for long periods of time, even when fully charged. ETS magazines for Glock pistols have a transparent body that allows you to see your ammunition. This model holds 10 9mm rounds and is compatible with the Glock 26 (Gen 1-4).
